Anesthesiologists at Prince George Surgery Centre are fellows of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC).

In addition, our full-time staff Anesthesiologist is a member of the Canadian Anesthesiologists' Society and the Society for Ambulatory Anesthesia, and combines a general and regional anesthetic practice.

Anesthesiology is an integral part of our planning for your surgery at Prince George Surgery Centre. A pre-operative screen is conducted on every patient to ensure that medical issues are resolved and required bloodwork or other preparation has been performed. Our staff Anesthesiologist will review your patient screens prior to your surgery and is happy to speak with you if you have concerns or questions about anesthesia.

At Prince George Surgery Centre much of our surgery is "ambulatory" or "day" surgery. Your anesthetic will be delivered with this in mind so that when you are ready to go home you will experience the least amount of discomfort possible. The type of anesthetic used will be determined based on your personal profile... the type of surgery you are having, your personal experience with anesthetics, and your health and anatomy. Let our Anesthesiologist lead you to a truly informed choice for ambulatory anesthesia.
